Q: Can water be pumped through my unit?
A: No, clean dry air only

Q: What are the small washers between the valve plate and the body for?
A: The small washers at each corner are very important; they serve as spacing between the retainer plate and the valve plate. They must be kept in the same location that
they came off of to correctly space the valve plate from the retainer plate.

Q: What kind of oil do I need for my DOA-P701-AA?
A:  None, these models are oilless, and do not require oil.

Q: Can I pump explosive gas through my MOA?
A: No, none of Gast models are able to pump explosive gases.

Q: My DOA model was sitting on my shelf for a long time, now it will not start.
A: The diaphragm has most likely taken a set on the valve plate, with the power disconnected from unit use a small object and go through the black grill on the front and rotate the cooling fan a few times. This should loosen the diaphragm and allow the unit to start.

Q: What can I use to flush my DOA with?
A: Gast recommends using Gast flushing solvent AH255B, if this is not available you can use electrical contact cleaner.

Q: Can I use the same kit for new style DOA (dome shaped head) as for the old flat head style?
A: Yes the kit will contain parts for new and old style units.

Q: Can I get new motor brushes for my MOA-V111-JH?
A: Yes the brushes can be obtained from your nearest Gast distributor, look on our web site and click on sales & distribution.

Q: Can I replace the motor on my DOA model?
A: The motor can not be replaced in the field, the unit should be sent to a rebuild center.

Q: How can I replace the rod assembly in my diaphragm unit?
A: The rod assembly is not field replaceable, it would need to be sent to an authorized rebuild center.

Q: How can I find my closest rebuild center?
A: go to www.gastmfg.com and choose service information, or call (269)-926-6171 EXT: 5404.
